In the U.S., turkey is the traditional Thanksgiving Day feast. In the country, the Thanksgiving feast is celebrated with friends and for this purpose the turkey is eaten, to which every invited woman brings a little homemade food, e.g. homemade bread, green tomato chutney, mixed pickles or various leaf salads. These are the typical accompaniments to the American-style turkey.

Defrost the turkey according to the instructions. Take out the bag with the giblets. Bring salted tap water to a boil in a saucepan. Rinse neck, heart and stomach, drain and add. Leave liver behind.
