For those who love strawberries:

Rinse the untreated orange in hot water, dry and peel. Squeeze 2 oranges. Peel the remaining fruit thickly and then cut into slices.

Place 250 ml orange juice, bay leaves, water, juniper berries, sugar, 1 1/2 tsp salt and the peeled orange peel in a saucepan and bring to the boil. Boil gently for about 5 min.

Remove the orange peel and add the gin. Season again with sugar and salt.

Place orange slices in glasses, pour the gravy over them. Close the jars and let the fruit steep for 1-2 days.

Keep refrigerated for 2-3 weeks. Great as an appetizer to raclette and fondue.
