For the nut cake, grease the cake pan and sprinkle with flour. Separate eggs, beat egg whites to snow. Mix flour with baking powder.

Beat yolks with sugar, milk, rum, salt and cinnamon until foamy, then carefully fold in flour and nuts. Pour the batter into the cake tin and bake in the preheated oven at 160 °C for about 40 minutes.

Let the cake cool down, cut it in half and fill it with currant jam. Heat the cake glaze in a bain-marie, cover the cake with it and decorate with the Smarties.
