For the Knoppers Muffins, place Knoppers in a freezer bag, seal and crush with a rolling pin.
Beat egg, sugar, oil and buttermilk until foamy. Add flour mixed with baking powder, cocoa powder and the crumbled Knoppers. Stir just briefly so that the ingredients are “wet”.
Pour the batter into the greased muffin cavities or muffin paper cups and bake the Knoppers muffins in a preheated oven at 190° for about 20 to 25 minutes.
