A simple but delicious cake recipe:

Knead flour, sugar (1), butter in flakes, 1 egg, baking powder and salt. Leave to cool for approx. 30 min. Press 2/3 of the dough into a greased springform pan (26 cm Ø). Form the rest of the dough into a roll and press it smooth around the edge of the pan to a height of about 4 cm.

2. Separate 3 eggs. Mix curd cheese, sugar (2), egg yolks, custard powder, vanillin sugar, juice of one lemon and oil. While stirring, add milk in small amounts until you have a thin liquid.

3. spread quantity on the dough in the mold. Bake in a heated oven (electric oven: 200 degrees / convection oven: 175 degrees / gas: level 3) for 45-50 minutes.

Beat the egg whites until stiff. Sift in sugar (3). Spread the meringue on the cake while it is still warm. Bake at 175 degrees Celsius (convection oven: 150 degrees Celsius / gas: level 2) for another 20 minutes. Prick many times with a fork so that the “gold drops” come out when the cake cools down.
