Peanut sauce:

For the breading, chop the onion and garlic very finely. Mix with the remaining ingredients. Coat the fish with the breading and cover and let sit in the refrigerator for at least three hours.

For the peanut sauce, heat the oil in a small frying pan.

Sauté the sambal briefly in it. Add the peanut butter, sugar and juice of one lemon and stir until a thick sauce forms. Briefly bring to a boil and season with soy sauce. Cover and keep warm on the turned off stove top.

In a coated frying pan, heat the oil not too high. Carefully place fish in the frying pan. Place breadcrumbs, which will fall off when fish is fried, on top of fish with frying spoon. Cover and lightly roast each side for seven minutes. Repeatedly place breading on top of fish. Divide fish into pieces and place on plates with breading. Serve peanut sauce separately.

Serve with basmati rice, garnished with diced vegetables as desired.

Tip: The fish can also be prepared on the grill wrapped in aluminum foil.
