Mix new spice, ginger, garlic powder, salt, nutmeg, cinnamon, bay leaves and cayenne pepper and keep in a tightly closed jar in the refrigerator. Immediately before using the mixture, add rum, onion, lime juice and sugar. Refrigerate the meat in the pickle for at least 120 minutes, repeatedly brushing with the mixture while grilling.

Tip: Always use aromatic spices to enhance your dishes!
