Instructions:

Remove peel from bananas and cut into slices. Place in a large baking dish. Remove peel from oranges and remove white skin. Divide fruit into whole slices or halved slices, depending on size. Pour the juice over the bananas.

Remove peel from papayas and cut in half lengthwise. Scrape out black seeds with a spoon. Dice flesh. Remove peel from mangoes, cut flesh along stone and chop. Add everything to the rest of the fruit. Cut carambola diagonally into narrow slices. Mix together with the lime juice under the leaf salad. Sweeten as desired.

Scrape out the flesh of the coconut in shavings with a zest cutter. Or finely shave it on a grater.

Bring the leaf salad to the table, well chilled, in the baking dish. Offer the shredded coconut separately.
