Peel the cucumber, cut it in half lengthwise, scrape out the seeds with a spoon and then cut diagonally into 1 centimeter thick strips. Then heat the butter, sauté the cucumber pieces in it and season with salt and pepper. Add the cream and cook on low heat for twelve to fifteen minutes. Then remove the pieces with a sieve ladle, boil the remaining liquid over a high flame until creamy and pour it over the vegetables.
