Grease the cavities in the muffin tray or place muffin cups inside. Preheat the oven to 180 °C top/bottom heat.

Cut open the vanilla pod and scrape out the pulp. Mix butter, sugar and vanilla pulp well. Gradually add the eggs and a little salt.

Sift the flour and baking powder, mix and fold into the batter.

Fold in the buttermilk and finally gently add the blueberries. Stir just until the blueberries are distributed.

Pour the batter into the wells of the muffin pan to a maximum height of 3/4 and bake in the oven for about 30 minutes.

Allow the blueberry muffins to cool before removing.
