Instructions:

A simple but delicious cake recipe:

Knead all the ingredients for the dough together and chill in the refrigerator.

Remove the peel from the apples and cut them into slices (or grate them, then the cake will be “nice and mushy” says my aunt…) and sprinkle with the juice of one lemon.

Beat the sugar, egg, butter and sugar until creamy, fold in the flour briefly. Whip the whipped cream until stiff and fold in.

Spread a cake springform pan with the batter, spread the apples evenly on top and cover with the topping. Chop the almond kernels and sprinkle over the cake together with the sugar.

Bake in the oven at 175 to 200 °C on the lowest shelf for 55-65 minutes.

– Add a little salt to the dough – “enrich” the topping with rum (flavoring), vanilla (flavoring) or/and cinnamon.
