Rinse the potatoes, remove the skin and cut into 3 mm thick slices. Cook in boiling salted water until half soft, pour off the water. Heat butter in the pot. Add onion and sauté. Sprinkle flour on top and sauté until it turns light brown. Add vinegar, wine and finally enough soup to make a thin sauce, stirring continuously. Bring sauce to a boil, season lightly with salt, pour in bay leaf, clove and potatoes. Simmer gently, turning carefully occasionally, until the potatoes are tender. Remove bay leaf and clove, season and serve.
