For the potato-celery puree, wash and peel the potatoes and celery and cut into small pieces. Boil potatoes and celery in salted water until tender, about 15 minutes.

Strain potatoes and celery and mash with a potato masher. Stir in butter and milk and blend until creamy. Season the potato-celery puree with salt and pepper.
