Grease a ring cake pan or cup cake pan, sprinkle with the breadcrumbs.
Beat the softened butter or possibly light butter with the sugar until creamy. Add the eggs, beating until thick and golden.
Mix the flour and the baking powder, gradually work it into the dough. Add the cow’s milk, almond kernels, poppy seeds and almond flavoring.
Pour the dough into the pan and smooth it down. Bake in a heated oven at 200° Celsius (gas: level 3) for 50 to 60 minutes.
Cool the cake a little, then remove it from the pan. Cool completely on a cooling rack. Place on the table dusted with fine sugar.
