For the marzipan muffins, separate the eggs, beat the egg whites until stiff. Make a drift with sugar, butter and yolks. Cut the marzipan paste into small pieces, add and mix well.

Mix flour and baking powder and stir in briefly. (If the mass is too firm, add a dash of water or milk).

Finally, fold in beaten egg whites. Pour the mixture into muffin tins and bake at 160 °C (convection oven) for approx. 20 to 25 minutes.
