For the lasagna, first prepare the meat sauce:

To do this, peel and finely dice the onions, garlic and carrots. Sauté the onions, garlic, carrots and tomatoes together with the minced meat in a pot with olive oil. Add the tomato paste and fry.

Pour in the strained tomatoes and simmer for about 20 minutes.

Cut the basil into strips and stir into the sauce.

For the béchamel sauce, foam the butter in a saucepan and add the flour. Sauté carefully and pour in the cold milk. Bring to the boil, stirring constantly, until a creamy sauce is formed. Add salt and pepper to taste.

Butter an ovenproof dish and pour in layer after layer of pasta sheets, meat sauce and bechamel sauce. Finish with the béchamel sauce.

Finally, spread the mozzarella cheese on top and bake the lasagna in the oven at 160°C top and bottom heat for 45 minutes.
