Make the pasta al dente in salted water and drain. Peel the onions and cut them into rings. Rinse the peppers, cut them in half, remove the core and the membranes, cut them into strips. Steam onions and peppers with the bacon for 5 minutes until soft. Layer peppers, noodles, onions, bacon and ham in a greased gratin dish. Mix the eggs with the whipped cream and spices and pour over the pasta. Cover the casserole with the cheese slices and bake in the oven heated to 180 °C for about 40 minutes until golden brown.

Our tip: Use a bacon with a strong flavor – this will give this dish a special touch!
