Beef in Chili Yogurt Sauce

Instructions:

1. heat the oil in a frying pan and stir-fry the onions until golden brown.

Reduce the temperature and add the garlic, ginger, cinnamon sticks, cloves, cardamom pods, peppercorns and dried chillies to the frying pan. Sauté for 5 minutes.

3. mix yogurt with salt and stir with the onion-spice mixture in the frying pan.

Add the meat and 2 green chilies to the yogurt mixture and fry for 5-7 min.

5. add the water slowly while stirring. Cover the pan and cook on low heat for 1 hour, stirring occasionally and adding more water as needed.

Remove the pan from the heat and place the beef and sauce in a serving dish. Garnish with the remaining chopped chili.

Tip: The higher the fat content in the yogurt, the more aromatic and creamy the result!
