For the apple pie, first peel and core the apples and cut into slices. Cream the room-warm butter and sugar with vanilla sugar.

Then beat in each egg separately for about half a minute. Add the grated zest of one lemon.

Then fold in the flour sifted with the baking powder. Pour the batter into a greased and floured baking dish.

Cover with apple slices or spread them randomly on top.

Finally, sprinkle the apples with a mixture of cinnamon and crystal sugar and bake the apple pie at 180 degrees for 50 minutes.
