For the strawberry rum pot, wash, hull and dry the strawberries, mix with the sugar. Pour into a rum crock or large pickle jar and top with rum.
The rum should be a good 1 finger width above the strawberries. Seal the jar tightly. Store in a dark, cool place. Check weekly to see if the fruit begins to ferment. If so, add more sugar.
After 6 weeks you can open the pot and taste the rum pot.
