Instructions:

Remove the peel from the Sicilian oranges and cut them into slices. Scrape the pulp from the vanilla pod and add to the olive oil. Here I use a fruity, elegant and delicate olive oil (Moraiolo- Frantoio-Leccino olives), this is not as spicy as the Sicilian. For the vanilla ice cream mix 6 egg yolks with 200 g sugar, add the pulp of a vanilla bean. Boil 1/2 l of milk with the vanilla pod, mix with the egg yolks and boil until rose. Allow to cool and stir in 150 g of whipped cream. Freeze the mixture in an ice cream maker. Spread the orange slices on the plate, drizzle with the vanilla oil and put the vanilla ice cream on top. This recipe was provided by: Rosemarie Trabelsiwww.latorre.atNähere info about olive oil can be found at: www.die-feinsten-essenzen.com
