Mix flour and salt, mix egg, oil and water, mix with flour, knead until dough is smooth and separates. Cover on the table with warmed baking bowl, rest for 1 hour.
Roll out on a floured dishcloth to a thickness of 1 to 2 mm, perhaps stretching it out.
Heat butter, steam salt, onion, parsley and ham and cool. Mix egg and add. Add cheese.
Spread the mixture evenly on the dough, leaving a 2 cm border all around and roll up by means of the cloth. Fold the narrow ends.
With the seam at the bottom, place in a horseshoe shape on the floured back of the baking sheet and prick the dough with a fork.
Bake in heated oven at 220 °C for 3 to 40 min. Brush the strudel with the liquid butter 2-3 times during baking.
Tip: Use your favorite ham – then your dish tastes twice as good!
