Plum Strudel

For the filling:


Mix water, salt, oil and yolks, add flour and work into a smooth dough. Let the dough rest covered for 1/2 hour

Roll out the strudel dough and spread with oil as much as possible. Cut off the overhanging parts.

Brush the thinly stretched strudel dough with one third of melted butter, drizzle with slibovitz, cover with the pitted plums cut into rings and sprinkle with a mixture of baking sugar, cinnamon and the crumbs and almond kernels roasted in one third of butter.

Bake the rolled strudel on a greased baking tray at 180 degrees for 45 minutes and brush with the remaining butter just before it is ready.

Sprinkle with powdered sugar before serving.
