For the cream of celery soup, peel the onion and then chop it into small cubes.

Remove the leaves of the celery and wash the celery thoroughly. Then cut it into pieces of about 1cm.

Melt the butter and fry the onion in it until translucent, then fry the celery pieces briefly. Now stir in the flour to make a roux and then add water. Bring to the boil briefly and stir frequently.

For the potato chips, wash and peel the potatoes and cut them into very thin strips. Fry them in oil or fry them a little in a pan.

Season the soup with salt and pepper, possibly also with some soup powder and serve with cream and potato chips.
