Carrots Wrapped in Bacon

Rinse carrots thoroughly and remove all but 1 cm of green. Cook in boiling salted water for about 5 minutes. Grate sage leaves dry and pluck from stems.

Cool carrots and wrap with bacon. Insert the sage leaves between them at intervals.

Grill over a heated broiler for about 3 to 4 minutes on all sides. Sprinkle with lemon pepper and serve on the spot.
