Instructions:

Remove the skin from the leeks and rinse them, chop the greens. Brown in butter in a saucepan for 15 min. on each side. Add sugar, season with pepper, season with salt. Fill up to half height with water and make 20 min with lid closed.

Remove lid and continue cooking until water has completely evaporated. Once the leeks begin to caramelize, remove from heat. In the meantime, fry the bacon slices and drain them on kitchen paper.

Wrap a piece of bacon around each leek and attach with a toothpick.

Serve with pilaf rice and peeled hard-boiled eggs.
