For the bacon semolina dumplings, cut the bacon into small cubes and fry briefly in oil. Pour in the milk, add salt, bring to the boil and add the semolina while stirring and boil down until thick and mushy.

Remove from heat and let cool. Stir in the eggs and form small dumplings from the mixture with moistened hands and leave to stand in boiling salted water for about 5 minutes. Do not boil. Lift the bacon dumplings out of the water and serve.
