Why not try a recipe with American units of measurement (cups = cups). For example, for this delicious apple and rice casserole, which is prepared in a Roman pot. You take a mug in the size you want and this mug is now YOUR unit of measurement.

Preheat the oven to 180° Celsius.

Simmer the rice with the milk, sugar and vanilla sugar in a covered, watered Roman pot at 180° Celsius for about 30 minutes until half-cooked.

Then add the curd cheese, the raisins, the rum and the peeled apples cut into thin slices.

Close the casserole and bake for another 60 minutes at 200° Celsius.

If the casserole still has too much liquid, leave it in the oven without the lid at 150° Celsius until the liquid has evaporated and the apple-rice casserole has the desired consistency.
