Mug Cake Basic Recipe

For the basic Mug Cake recipe, first grease the cups with butter (either 2 mugs of 200-250 ml each or several smaller ones – but then the baking time is shorter). If the mug cakes are not made in the microwave, but in the oven, then preheat it to 180 °C.

Beat the granulated sugar, vanilla sugar and salt with the butter until fluffy. Beat the egg and mix it with the chosen milk product and lemon zest. Add this mixture to the butter and sugar mixture. Mix flour with baking powder and fold it in. Only at the end fold in the berries, nuts, chopped chocolate or similar and distribute evenly in the batter.

Fill the mixture about halfway into the cups (still rises). Then either microwave individually for about 2 minutes on high (800 watts) or put all together in the oven for about 20-25 minutes.

Let Mug Cake cool briefly and then enjoy immediately.
