For the savory puff pastry roll, finely chop the onion and lightly fry it in oil together with the chopped garlic.

Then add the minced meat. Fry for a few minutes and season with salt, pepper and oregano.

Add a little water (about 1/4 – 1/2 liter) and sprinkle with the bouillon cube. Mix well and simmer for about half an hour.

Let the liquid evaporate and remove the mince from the plate. Let it cool down. Roll out the puff pastry and place it on a baking tray lined with baking paper.

First place the slices of ham on the pastry, making sure that you must be able to fold the pastry in on both sides.

Then spread the minced meat on the ham. Then put the sliced tomatoes on top of the meat and add a little salt and pepper.

Cover the tomatoes with the cheese, brush the edges with egg and fold the dough. Brush the roll with egg and bake in the oven on the middle shelf until golden brown (about 25 – 30 minutes at 180 °C).

The spicy puff pastry roll is best served with green salad.
