For the nut-apple cake, preheat the oven (180 °C). Separate eggs, mix 3rd egg yolks, butter and sugar. Then add nuts, baking powder, grated apple, cinnamon, rum, salt and flour.

Beat egg whites until stiff, grease a springform pan with butter and dust with flour. Pour the batter into the pan and bake for about 50-60 minutes.

Remove the cake from the pan and spread with apricot jam. In a saucepan, heat about 100 g of cooking chocolate with some whipped cream and butter, then brush the cake with it.

Decorate the nut-apple cake with nut halves.
