For the mango liqueur, peel the skin off the mango and cut the flesh into cubes. You can discard the core that has been scraped clean.

Fill the fruit pieces into a wide-necked bottle. Add the candy, the rum and the slit vanilla pods.

Close the bottle tightly and let the mango liqueur stand for 7 weeks. Stir occasionally for a more intense flavor.
