For the farmer’s cake, preheat the oven to 175 degrees. Put butter (room temperature), sugar, vanilla sugar and salt in a bowl and mix until fluffy. Then add the 4 eggs and mix until creamy.
Mix the flour with the baking powder and add to the bowl. Mix everything together until you have a smooth dough. Butter a loaf pan well. Pour in the batter and smooth it out.
Place the loaf pan on the middle shelf in a preheated oven at 175 degrees. Bake the farmer’s cake for about 60 minutes, depending on the oven. Garpobe with a wooden stick.
Then let the cake cool in the loaf pan on a cooling rack for about 1 hour. Then turn out and serve.
