For the cream cheese bread, crumble the yeast into a bowl, stir with lukewarm water, sugar and the pinch of salt until smooth.

Gently mix in 125 g of flour and the creamed cream cheese. Knead with the rest of the flour to form a smooth dough.

Work well so that it becomes dry and fluffy. Then cover the bowl with a kitchen towel and let rise in a warm place for 30 minutes.

Knead the dough on a floured work surface. Pour into a greased loaf pan, cover and let rise for another 15 minutes.

Whisk egg, milk or coffee together, brush bread with it. Place in preheated oven on middle rack.
