First, peel and finely chop the onion.

Melt the butter in a wide saucepan and sauté the onion until translucent. Add the vegetables.

Sauté on a very low flame with the lid closed until soft.

If necessary, add a little more butter or 1/2 cup of vegetable soup. Season carefully with salt.
