Instructions:

For red cabbage rolls with dried plums, marzipan, walnuts and lemons, first wash the red cabbage leaves and cut out the thick center ribs to make 8 red cabbage leaves.

Wash and slice one lemon. Squeeze the second lemon. Mix the lemon juice with the lemon slices, the sugar, the anise stars, the cinnamon and the walnut oil and let the red cabbage leaves steep in it for about 3 hours, covered. Turn the leaves from time to time.

Drain the red cabbage leaves and place them on the work surface. Arrange 4 plums in a row on each. Coarsely chop the walnuts and shred the marzipan into small pieces. Sprinkle the dried plums with the walnuts and marzipan and wrap into rolls.

Arrange red cabbage rolls with dried plums, marzipan, walnuts and lemons on plates and serve drizzled with the remaining marinade.
