Instructions:

For the Hascheeknödel, first prepare the potato dough.

To do this, finely grate the potatoes or press them through a potato ricer, then make a small bulge in them. Add the egg and sprinkle with salt and flour.

Loosely mix the ingredients using the back of a knife, then knead with your hands to form a medium-firm dough. If the dough feels too soft, add a little more flour.

For the hash, put all the ingredients through a meat grinder. Then mix well and form small balls with your hands.

Form the potato dough into a small roll. Cut into slices about 2 cm thick, press wide, place the prepared balls on top and form into dumplings.

Now boil the dumplings in lightly salted water for about 10 minutes. Make sure that there is not too much space in the cooking pot. When they float freely in the water they are ready.
